Did Sal Alosi miss that day in preschool where the teacher said “don’t trip the other kids?” That seems to be the only explanation for why the Jets coach trips player on this video below. Yes, I get that the New York Jets’ playoff hopes seem to be disappearing faster than Brett Favre’s dignity, but what on Earth would possess Alosi, the Jets’ strength and conditioning coach, to stick out his leg and bring down Miami Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll during Sunday’s game? Click for the video and some theories on why he acted like a 3-year-old.
Here’s a link to the video. As to what prompted this behavior from Alosi, I have three theories:
1. He was stretching – he is the strength and conditioning coach, after all.
2. He was having a preschool flashback.
3. He was straining to see the video of the Metrodome collapse up in the play-by-play booth. (Seriously, was it just me or did they show that video 500 times during Sunday’s NFL telecasts?)
What do you think – why did Sal Alosi behave in such a childish manner?
